Force them in the coop at night, or let them stay in run?

Agreed with JT and Nmin... If your run is predator proof and your climate does not present issues, I'd leave them to their devices. Minimum recommendation for space is 4 s.f. in coop and 10 s.f. in run per bird. Based on what I'm seeing, your coop/run may be a bit on the small side. They are sleeping in the run b/c they feel safer there. (higher roost, more room) Run and skirt are 1/2" hdw cloth, yes?

Coop's probably too small and not ventilated well enough....it's nicer out in the run.
Would love to see pics, of roost in the run......and inside of coop.

Adding your location to your profile is easy and most helpful:

I agree with @Percheron chick, that coop/run combo looks way too small for them. They've run out of space in there, and they feel uncomfortable jammed all together.

eta: I personally lock my girls up every night, even though I think my run is predator proof. I put it that way because predator's might think of something I haven't yet, that said, I couldn't see how something could get in. I lock them up for my piece of mind that if something did make it into the run, it would still have the barrier of the coop
