Will woods act as a fence for geese? I’m thinking of putting my geese and ducks in a field next to woods the woods have no predators but will the geese walk into the woods or do they know to stay out

Sounds risky to me. My thought is, the woods have no predators that you know of.

And, my own geese, I'm sure, would walk into the woods just to prove to me that they could.

You're very fortunate if your woods have no predators.

I wouldn't count on them to stay out of the woods or for other creatures to stay in the woods. Fencing would be best.

Mine once went on a walkabout through the woods. I found them a few hours later on a nearby road lost, tired, and scared.

Agreed! Many years ago a whole flock wandered through the woods and found a field that had just been sprayed with herbicide. Some survived....
