I got my first egg from my red star.

She is one day shy of 17 weeks. Whe laid it in the shavings in the coop rather in the nest box. Ihope she learns what the nest is for.

Mine started laying at 17 weeks too. we put fake eggs in the nest to help them learn where to lay.

I got my first egg song today, but no egg. How from the time they start singing until they start laying? The song sounded just like the recordings others have posted.
