Hi! It just depends on if any of the sellers that will be there bring chicks with them?? There are some supplies, again just depends on what sellers bring. I would get there early though, chicken folk get to buy'in early.

Are there even hours posted anywhere for this event? When does it start? I am about 90 minutes away.

The show itself starts at 9 but there are usually people setting up around 7. Those who enter birds in the show will start to browse once the show starts.

I feel your pain, we are over an hour away as well.

I'll trade you my 2 1/2 hour drive for your hour on the road any day.

Amen!! I totally agree... I have to drive over 2 hrs to attend any chicken event!! Darn Viriginia laws!!! The closet poulty event in VA is about 4 to 5 hrs from me.. horrible!!!!

I heard back from James tonight.

There about 800+ total birds in the show

100+ in the Junior Show
100+ standards in the Jr and Open show
30+ silkies

We will be their. Will have a Blue Bantam Sumatra Cockerel for sale and maybe some chicks. We had some hatch Monday & Tuesday.
Looking forward to seeing some of you their. We will have Homemade Peanut Butter Delight and Cream Filled Oatmeal Cookies for sale in the concession area along with other items.

Anyone have EE pullets to sell there?

I went to that show/sale several years ago -- bought the most stunning Cochin 'pullet' who turned out to be a rooster -- he was re-homed to become a 'stud-chicken' --

I do not want any more roosters -- even if they are gorgeous!
