Fort Cluck - First Time Building Coop

Think I figured out who the culprit was. The 11 week old pullet I had put in there because she was the only pullet left in with the cockerels & roosters. I since removed her from the coop, because she was tormenting the younger chicks even after I got home after work. She was free to go outside, but she still chose to corner the chicks in the coop and peck at them.

Finally got the roosts sanded down and painted — the chicks approve.

It is going to have an overhang, but no back access. It will be easy to reach into from inside of the coop to get eggs or to clean out soiled straw.

I like outside access to nestboxes so that I can collect eggs without getting poop on my shoes. This is even more important if you ever want to go away and ask someone to take care of your chickens. :)
