I have 5 little chicks that we hatched out in the incubator. They are 3 weeks old this Saturday. What harm would they come to if I put them in the same coop with two hens and a rooster? Do they need to be alone in their own coop? And I have two hens broody now, each with 9-10 eggs each, the rooster is still in the coop with them, do I have to move him before the babes come or will he be welcoming to the little peeps?

It's almost a sure thing that putting the little peeps in with the adults birds will be their death. The adults will most probably kill them.

They shouldn't be introduced to the adults until they are the same size as the adults.

Yikes!! That won't happen then. What bout the one's thatare going to be hatching in the coop? Are they goin to be safe or should I remove Roo before they get here?
