Five of the original six birds are still there! Would the original person who put up the post please email me thru this forum? I live in about 5 miles from the forest preserve. I can get a group of friends together to do the rescue if you can tell me who the farmer is who was willing to take the group.
I have visited the birds several times and fed them. I am very worried they will not make it once it turns cold, especially if the pond freezes. These birds are so tame, they are prime targets for predators, wild and human. Hope we can organize something very soon. These birds didn't deserve to be dumped like this.
Does anyone else know anyone in Aurora/Sugar Grove/Yorkville/BigRock area who would take these birds? I'd even drive them to the person in Wisconsin who was interested in Sept posts!
