This little guy showed up at our house last night. It was getting late and I was sure he'd get eaten or run over if we left him, so we brought him in.

I'm not even sure he's a chick? But he looks like one - can anyone confirm or am I crazy?

We put him in a box with pine shavings, water, chick starter, and a heat lamp. He pooped once last night and once this morning, but hasn't eaten or drank anything as far as I can tell. I dipped his beaks in the water, and he has sat in it.

He has pretty much slept since yesterday and is completely disinterested in food or water. I've tried egg yolk on a spoon and sugar water on a spoon, he shakes his head but doesn't eat.

I'm not sure what else to do for him - any suggestions?

It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like maybe some kind of wild quail chick?
I'd get it to a wildlife rehab as soon as possible. In the meantime though, get some small live mealworms and cut them in half. Put him on paper towels and toss them to him. Pick at them with your finger. That may entice him to eat.
