Found a grave on our new property

I just realized, my ex's middle name is Jackson and it is a family name somewhere down the lineage. His whole family is English, I wonder if this could be a New England reletive?

I cleared the brush and trees away and found 11 more headstones, most of which are unreadable. I'll take a camera next time and post some pics.

What's his address? I'll dig them up and mail him a box of bones.

OMG. You are so lucky. What a treasure you've found!!! I'm so envious! I love this type of stuff. What an amazing find!

How much property do you have? that would be so cool if you could trace those ppl to your DH's family.

Wow, that's awesome! I'd love to see a pic too next time you go out near them.

Very interesting. It sounds like you are going to have fun researching this.

There is a graveyard at the farm we are on. It makes me feel connected to the history of the land. It has been cleaned up though, the grass gets cut and all of the stones have been gathered together and leaned against each other in the middle of the yard. Some of the stones are from the 1700s, The oldest of them are just flat fieldstones that have been scratched into! Some of them share the last name of the nearest village.

Oh no! Your going to be haunted!

Jk. That's really really cool, I love stuff like that! Too bad you cant read the other ones! And I bet theres more buried there that just dont have a marker. Very neat!

I would recommend filing his information at http://www.familysearch.org/ The Mormon church has the largest geneology library in the world and many people, not just mormon's, use it to do their family research. I'm am quite certain that there is someone out there who has been searching for him and his information that would be ecstatic to fine it! I would also let your city know that he is buried there, just incase they don't have him on their records and an ancestor tries to do a search that way.
