Found a hidden quail egg - do we eat it??

We are using a deep litter method for our quail and found an egg buried under some pine shavings. It cannot have been there more than two days though, because we had recently cleaned out their coop. How long can an egg potentially sit before you decide to toss it??

Whats actually cool is that a quail egg stays good for 14-17 eggs if it has not been washed, refrigerated, dirty, hot, or really cold.

I've eaten eggs that are a few weeks old.
