Wynette, they are very big when flying and their under wings are black, and just a little white on the side, at first I thought they were those big black crows, and my hub said it a turkey vulture.
after i post this morning, on your feather, my hub said some thing big in the trees has something i hope not one of your chicken, I told him they were'nt out of there pen, so i ran in back and it was a T/V with a ground hog, and the T/V was flying away with it.
