I found a Mini Lop (male?) bunny in my yard yesterday night, so I took it inside in an animal carrier and gave it water, lettuce, grass, and a stick to chew on. I asked the neighbors if it is theirs and they said no, so I might keep it. According to my neighbors, it had been in their basement a few days ago and they kicked it out. it has a little nick on its ear (photos below) but it is eating and hopping around, and seems otherwise healthy. One thing I am worried about in is the fact that I have not seen him poop, in or outside the crate. I am still searching for a hutch to keep it in, so the setup you see isn’t the final thing. He isn’t comfortable with us, but he also isn’t overly flighty either. Any advice?

Also we are open to name ideas!

Nicked ear - Green Ember! Call that one Heather.

I haven't had much experience with bunnies I have rescued a wild one before tho. That one didn't poop at all and it ended up being fine and we released it.

Aww he's so cute. Another bunny probably bit him in the ear. I would get him some rabbit pellets, and some hay. Rabbits can actually get into trouble not eating, so it's important he keeps eating and hopefully pooping.

We have feral/wild bunnies in our backyard, usually one at a time, occasionally two.

There was one rabbit that lived in our backyard for extended amount of time. The bunny became friends with my chickens.

I did not take it home, just let it roaming in the backyard.
