I bought twelve sheets of plywood and 20 2x4s for about $225 and they almost fit together perfectly without too much cutting. Turned out to be an 8x8 coop which is 8 feet tall and more than enough room for any two people to lay in comfortably so I fit two rows of nests stacked on top of each other in there mounted on the walls using the same wood. It was my first time building anything ever and it's not perfectly squared or level or anything near professional quality but it's sturdy and doesn't leak. I told my wife that as soon as the chickens tell me they want a new one I'll buy them a premade one.

I have one of all my chicken storage areas and you can get the general idea of the size but it's just not a finished pic of the one I built. If you want to explain how to upload pics I'll do that or pm me and I'll text it to you or post it on my fb profile pic and you can look...or would it be big enough to see if I made it my avatar here?
