FOUND A YOUNG Pigeon NEED HELP

my bf came home from work last night with a young pigeon he found out in the parking lot and i have no idea on how to take care of it im thinking it was learning how to fly or something it has its adult feathers but still has some of his baby feathers stuck to some just wondering if its ok if i feed it just bread and water or should i go get something for him untill he's ready to fly away and how long do i have to wait untill to start showing him how to fly?

He might be old enough to eat bird seed.

Yes I agree.... put bird seed in and water, if no eating takes place, you will have to syringe feed him a good quality grainavore hand rearing mix ( the same that are fed to baby parrots )
