LOL! I didn't take it you were mad -- your point was good and it just didn't register with me at the time for some reason (wrangling a quail, rabbits, parakeets, cat and dog = *distraction*).

Wonder how the OP is doing with her quail ....

~!!!UPDATE!!!~
I know this update is long overdue, but I have amazing news! The chick (who I have now named Little Bit) is doing remarkably well. It has grown a lot, it now has feathers on it's wings and has grown taller. Little Bit has been eating and drinking on her own and is in love with the little pug toy I put in with her. By the looks of salsan20's pictures Little Bit seems to be about 9 days old. I don't know what else to say, other than the chick is still alive and healthy. I do have a question though, can you put an adult quail with adult bantam chickens? I've heard tons of people saying no it'll kill the quail, but bunches of people say they're perfectly fine. I don't have the time nor money to build a new coop, especially for just one bird, but yeah. Thanks for all of your guys help!

Go with the people who said it would kill the quail.

The people that say it is fine are playing russian roulette and will one day end up with birds looking like this.

Chickens carry many diseases they are immune to but are fatal to quail, diseases like Coryza, MG, blackhead, etc. Anyone keeping the two species together is being horribly irresponsible in their animal husbandry.
