Found an egg on my dock

Hows the egg doing?

If it's a duck, care is easy, just like caring for a chicken.

However egret care is a little trickier, I fed mine feeder fish from the pet store when they were babies, but I don't know if you will be able to acess those

The egg is doing great! Such an incredible quarantine experience I am having! It is moving around like crazy in the egg and the air cell is looking perfect.
I would definitely have access to feeder fish!

Your advice to keep the humidity up was great as I was thinking of lowering it.

Just wanted to note - I have a degree in animal biology so I have a lot of friends that have given me good places to reach out to in my area to take the little guy when it hatches.

I have also raised chicken chicks since I was young so have experience caring for young birds and know what to look out for. We usually would buy them a day old so I do not have incubator experience, but my chicks lived to almost 10 years old!

I have gotten some concern about what I am doing and I just want to make it clear that I do not intend to raise an egret and would rather give it to a wildlife facility so it could hopefully be raised around the same species making it even more able to be released. I love animals and am not naive as to what is best for them.

Pictures! The egg is 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.
