found baby mallards alone!!

As krcote said, Leave Wildlife Wild. My addition to that would be when impossible, contact a rescue/rehab organization. They have the knowledge, the means and the legal permits.

Thats fair enough, respect for that... But not everybody knows every rule or law... Might of been nicer to say Did you know thats against the law?
I read the rules of this site about being nice to people..

Some people have big hearts and just trying to do a good deed.. just sounded a bit abrupt to someone who may not know the things that qualfied ppl do..

Where I live its all within Law to rescue wildlife, so i guess we all see things different ways
 
i know its illegal as a 11 yr old girl i just couldnt resist and she left them for what its beeb two days now and there was hawks circaling them nd many cats around! well im glad i have him i wont let any one know about him but hes adorble and cuddles with me and follows me but is it still illegal i forgot to say my friend lives on the lake and the female mallard is hers buti think she got killed but originally she got the duckling when it was a baby from a feed store shes not wild but is it illegal to still take the baby?

It might be a good Idea to ask your parents to find out in your local area.. If the mother wasn't wild you may need to make sure with the owners of the mother duck a few things.. But I can see why you are trying to look after this little duck..... I hope you manage to find out your rights soon​
