Ok so about an hour ago I was candling my goose eggs and everything was going good... until I found this really big crack in one of my eggs. So I put all the eggs back, closed the incubator lid, and went inside to get some scotch tape to put on it. Well my stupid self forgot to remember which egg it was, so I recandled all of them AND I CAN'T FIND THE CRACK IN ANY OF THE EGGS!!! I kept looking and looking on all the eggs and I simply cannot find the crack again. So the question is, do I keep candling and moving them around and handling them until I find the crack so I can fix it, or do I leave it alone so I don't risk hurting the embryo by my constantly candling and moving and handling?

THanks.

Does tape work? I haven't heard of that before. I've used wax from red birthday candles. . . The eggs looked like bloody nightmares, but the wax was extremely successful in patching up everything, from the egg I received in the mail that was only staying together because of the membrane, to the egg my SO somehow managed to kick halfway through incubating (I cannot begin to describe how furious I was at my SO, but the egg still hatched!).
