Found bloody poop in the Chick's Coop

Great, reading some of the articles yall provided, it seems this may be the case. They have had lots of watery poop. Not many solids and make loud noises and seem restless often. Sadly, feed stores around here are closed.

Get it as soon as you can when they are open. You don't want to wait any longer then needed.

Thanks, when I first found the poo I researched immidiately. I suspected it was Cocci but came here just incase. What broke my heart was when my little barred rock (actually big xD) Sweetheart jumped on my leg and gave me the cutest face. Thats why I came to make sure thats what is was. Need to get some soon.

It saddened me. She has been so sweet to me. I thought the silkie would be my favorite but little Sweetheart sits on my shoulder and rubs against me. Never thought a chicken would do that in my life.

i recently got some 2 month old baby silkies. they were in a large rat cage inside the coop at night and in a separate run (from the rest of my 5 other full grown hens) in the day. after about 2 days i began to find large amounts of blood in the silkie's poops. this went on for a few days. at first i thought it was cocci but when i went to the feed store the man there said it was probably just stress. i wasn't so sure he was right at first but i went ahead and moved the rat cage onto the porch and covered it with a lot of blankets and put a small heating pad underneath. the next morning there was not the slightest trace of blood anywhere and the silkies were nice and toasty warm. I think that the man at the store was right and it may have just been stress from the cold (we live in San Diego but have been getting some very cold nights). i did start putting apple cider vinegar in their water because i heard that helped with cocci.
