We rescued a chicken who appeared to be dying in our backyard. Is doing so much better now, but we have no idea what the age, breed, or gender is. Can anyone help with I.D.?

Thank you for the response! Just out of curiosity, what characteristics tell you definitely male?Looks like someone dumped him. He seems to be younger at around 7-10 weeks old and most definitely a male. I am unsure on the breed
Thank you! Interesting that you say mixed breed. I couldn't find anything that I thought looked exactly right, but mixed would make sense.Looks like a mixed breed cockerel around 8ish weeks old.
He was most likely dumped. Poor thing.
The wattle growth+color and the pattern of his feather barring.Thank you for the response! Just out of curiosity, what characteristics tell you definitely male?
Since you found him, it makes the most sense he's a mix.Thank you! Interesting that you say mixed breed. I couldn't find anything that I thought looked exactly right, but mixed would make sense.
