So just as i was getting the ducks ready to be rounded up to go back into the juvy pen tonight, I saw that 4 of the six were "playing" with something in the pool, I saw something bobbing around and they were pushing it under and pulling things off, on the roof of the chicken coop a pair of mockingbirds, who were kind of dumb, were screaming their heads of off and mobbing the juvy chicks, who were all investigated a little fledgling mocking bird, but not trying to hurt it,
I shoo the ducks away from the pool and find another fledgeling mockingbird, still barely alive(lived maybe a minute after I pulled it out of the water). it had what looks to be a tumor on one of it's wings, wichthe ducks had chewed on quite abit and it was ozzing this clear fluid but not much.
one of the cats stole it from me
, so i couldn't look farther
but will this hurt the ducks if they've ingested any of the fluid from the thing on the wing?
what does it look like, it's the little lump on the edge of the stretched out wing.
(and yes, i washed my hands twice)
