Found Egg and Need Help!!

hey y’all. walked right outside of my house today and saw an egg. i decided to take it home since it had fell out of a nest and there are many predators near my house. i know there is a high chance it could be dead, but i want a shot at seeing if it could possibly be saved. if anyone could help me at all with identifying the egg, please do. i barely touched it and wrapped it in a cloth in a secure area. Please help!

i had to leave for a family event but I’m going home soon. I couldn’t take a photo but I will asap.

do I need to stop by a store to get certain things for the egg?

As to if it's the best idea to hatch the egg, I'm not sure, because the result could very well be a tiny, helpless, full dependent on you wild bird. But if you do end up deciding to do that, a somewhat nice incubator would be ideal. Maybe you could borrow one. Google diy incubators. Some people have had success with those and they can be made cheaply. You could also contact a wildlife rehab center.
