Found in Barn

Oh, and I'm excited to say that other purple (amethyst) bottle is different than the one I posted and I'm pretty sure it is older. I hadn't grabbed them both at the time because I thought they were the same and only brought the one up to the house.

It is the same basic shape as the one I posted but it has a horizontal seam just below the curve to the neck and vertical seams from that seam up the neck but it stops before the topmost section. It has no markings on it, but I think it has an air bubble in the base. It is definitely more crude than the one I posted.

Looks like you have a good mixture of tack in that box. I can see at least one collar, some reins, bits, harness, etc. I second finding a tack shop or leather worker locally who can look at it for you. Great finds!!! I'm jealous.

I did find a good bit of lumber. I could probably get a coop out of it. We have some pallets in the barn, too.

We went and chatted with a neighbor who keeps chickens. They said we have too many hawks to free range them, so I guess I'll have to build something covered for them to play in. They sell their eggs to cover the cost of feed and told us they aren't able to keep up with the demand. Woot. Maybe I'll get nutty and make use of all fourteen spots in that nesting box. What's that, 50 or so chickens?

They had beautiful chickens, by the way; some sort of RIR hybrid that supposedly lays more and eats less than standard RIRs. There is a chicken expo that happens out here twice a year where they get their chickens and they said they would let us know the next time it is in town. Sounds like a blast!
