Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

Where is the meat??! Where are the eggs??! I do not see the appeal. I do love my dorkings though...

Oh sure there’s meat! Plenty of it even.
Black barred bird was 25% aseel. Quite the heavy boy!

Not that many eggs, that’s true, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay for great mothers, intelligence and survival instincts.

Apologies duck peeps, I’ll let you get on with your wonderful duck and duck pond business…

Join the Duck Revolution! Be abused like everyone else!

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE ducks, but it’s an admiration from afar.
Most are way too loud for me, and I would want a really big pond for them. Not because it’s a necessity, but because that would be how I would enjoy them the most.
That isn’t possible, for obvious reasons:p.

I’m still a Muscovy fan though :love

My girls would like to know why we allowed it to be windy today.
Sprightly is deeply troubled after almost blowing away this morning!
To add insult to injury, my partner went to them to reassure them that the sky wasn't falling down, and dared to approach them! They were absolutely horrified at this. He's obviously working with the wind.
Dang those meteorological wizards!

Muscovy are not loud, and they require minimal water.

Next excuse?

Wait, fluffy, let me get this straight...
You don't want to be screamed at first thing in the morning?
Sure, and I suppose you also aren't drawn to grass soup, muddy water buckets and poopy pond water too?

Likely story. Everyone wants ducks, they are superior. You're just confused!

Long time no speak by the way, how are you??

That’s what I said!
I’m a fan of muscovies because they’re quiet. Key word, “require”. Most people love to keep their chickens in large well protected runs. While there is no issue with this (and as proven by my losses, is quite safer), I enjoy this a lot more.

Right now they’re all in jail (foxes), and I think I’m as miserable as they are about it:lol:!
Ducks can live incredible, healthy and long lives with smaller water sources, but I just know that I’d enjoy them in a large pond a lot more. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone:oops:

Well, no, but that already happens. There’s this little serama mix hen that just won’t…:duc!

All the others sound…tasty:th.

You’re probably right about that:lol:! As you well know, I’m easily influenced
