Everynight before bed my chickens go in the coop and go inside and I count them. I got in total 19 hens. Today I was counting 18.. I was on a man hunt for litterly an hour.

I went back inside the house, grabbed the flash light after looking pretty much until dark. I was about to give up but decided I couldn't sleep with one missing.. So I went back into the barn, tried to call for her.. nothing. Went up into the haymow at least twice.. decided to go up a THIRD time.. Then I was shining the flashlight around and found my chicken in a corner just laying there..

Why? Why was she there? They are only 3 months old and never go in the haymow, always in the coop @ night for the past 3 months.

When I went to grab her she didn't freak out she just kinda made a few noises and I put her in the coop and that was that.

Why would she be up in the haymow so randomly?

Went out this AM, every morning all the chickens would go out and run out and start doing their thing. This one that I had found lastnight just stayed in her nesting box. So I put her down near food, she ate.. got water.. so I was like 'alright, shes fine..' go back out to count my chickens & there she is in a corner again just sitting there.

Her feathers seem perfectly fine and her eyes are just as big as all the others. Nothing seems abnormal about her. Is she sick?

Thanks.

I dont think so, they have been raised since they were in little eggs together, they never seem to bully eachother, only the smaller americanas I have.:P
