Found my FID card the other night.

renew it, If you need it you have it, If you don't need it, keep it in the drawer. If you have children be sure it is LOCKED,(the gun, not the permit)

marrie Having a senior moment, need peace and quite for at least 24 hrs.

You really should renew it. Mass makes us renew every 5 yrs for $100. The new one I just got, the picture was the worst EVER taken of me EVER!!! I say that about all my pics, but this really was. So I hid it so nobody would EVER see that terrible photo... and now I have NO IDEA where it is

I guess the memory goes @ 40 LOL

Depends on which State whether you need one or not, they are not mandatory in every state.

In most States you can carry in plain sight FID cards are for concealed carry and in States where a permit is required.

If your in a state that does not demand one you can carry as long as it is on the seat in plain sight and UNLOADED.

This is a subject that can get heated quickly lets keep in mind everyone has rights to own and carry a firearm.
everyone has the right to an opinion, no one has the right to judge those who carry and those who do not carry.

I agree, absolutely renew. With Massachusetts gun control laws as strict as they are by all means keep that right for yourself. Plus if there are guns in the house and something should happen you do not need any problems with the law.

I got my FID card for that very reason. It doesn't mean I just became Annie Oakley but it certainly offers a level of protection if, God forbid, something happens to my husband and I need to sell or handle the guns, or if in fact we do experience a home invasion.
