Found my first....

I have a single gray hair in my right eyebrow. Ugh. I keep it tweezed or else it sticks out like a wire. I have no gray hair on my head. My mom is 62 and she doesn't have any gray either. All three of her younger sisters do, though, and one of them has been coloring her hair for 40 years. My sisters and I got Mom's hair and Dad's eyebrows.

I have a few. I have always colored my hair because my natural color is a gross dull brown. I hate it. I was a red head as a child, and I figure something went awry along the way.

Wait till you have a head full like mine..... I went white so long ago I've forgotten.....now when you start getting white/grey in your eyebrows.... jeesh.. keep plucking them, will have nothing left soon... then the tips of your eyelashes..... so Saddie welcome to the world of whites.........

I've got a bunch of greys in my hair.

My Mom, and all 3 of my sisters have dyed their hair when they saw grey hair coming in.
I have always thought differently - I go natural.

My children used to try to talk me into dying my hair, but after showing them what dyed hair looks like just put in (fake), and a tell-tale sign of grey part with dyed ends (ugly), they've stopped.

It's just a part of life, go with the flow

I'm a brunette with red highlights ( naturally ) and I have silver hair coming in, not that I get to keep them since my teenage daughter pulls them out if she sees them.

My mother has the same silver coloring, she tried to dye it and everything but the silver would color

just be glad it's only one! My brother is 21 and 50% gray. He gets it from my mom, who at 43 is completely white (though she dyes it blonde). I somehow escaped that gene thanfully, lol!

I'm like deb, and have what I call mouse brown colored hair so I dyed it a glossier brown for many many years. However, as soon as my gray started coming in, I stopped. For some reason I just love it.

This morning I woke up, ran a brush thru and it all fell into place as always. I went to show Mr Saddi my new discovery...

"good now maybe people will stop thinking I'm some creepy old guy hitting on a teenager".

What's wrong with mouse brown hair?

As much as I have tried in the past, I am not very good at that whole dying and keeping up with appointments kind of stuff. I finally realized that I am better off to leave my hair natural. In the sun, I have mousy blondish sorta colored highlights. It's more like light reflecting off my hair than natural highlights really. I have every intention of leaving my gray hairs alone too. I figure it'll fit my personality anyway, so I'm not worried.

DH, however, is gonna be one of those sorta gray guys. His mom didn't get her first gray hair until she was 64 or 65-ish.

She is less than 50% gray now at 69. His dad is probably 75% salt and pepper...he's 73! DH is starting to get gray hair (40 yrs old), but in his goatee and chest only.

His goatee is probably 25% white/gray and his eye brows and hair are 100% DARK brown almost black. I give him a couple years and he'll be dark haired and gray goatee'd. He is the youngest of his siblings and none have gray hair.

My parents? Dad is 100% at 53 and he has been for a few years now. Mom (49) is partially gray...how much? No clue. She dyes it regularly.
