Found my missing chicken really unwell

Urgent help! Dixie has been missing for two weeks. I found her tonight, very weak, very skinny, unable to stand. She drank a few mouthfuls of water and a mouthful of sugar water. Not interested in food.

I don’t think she will make it through he night. Is there anything I can do to give her food/energy, or help her, except keep her comfortable until the vets in the morning? She is around 5-6 years old, so perhaps it’s ‘her time’?

If she was missing for two weeks I would say it is severe malnourishment rather than old age. A domesticated chicken will lose weight very quickly without someone feeding them.
