Found Mystery Eggs!! Bizzare!

Yup, theyre slug eggs! We really ARE incubating chicken food!

I frequently find them if I move rocks, and there's usually a large slug close by as well. But only in the winter. Maybe the slug eggs here sit all winter and hatch in the spring.

Imp- In the link above it has pics of eggs like the ones we found. It says the eggs take about 22 days to hatch. I dont know if they go into stasis during winter, or just hatch 22 days after being laid.




You KNOW you have a hatching addiction, when, after discovering your found eggs are, in fact, slug eggs, you actually CONTINUE to incubate them!! I think I need to head over to the hatch-aholics thread now....
