found new hatchling in bator at 19 days...

I woke up the morning to a newly hatched, dry chick on day 19. He seems to be okay, groggy, but alert when touched or picked up. He seems to need to sleep. He pipped out and unzipped perfectly out of the small end of the egg. He was born sometime after 9 pm. last night when i last checked and saw NO pips. Another egg is pipped and wiggling and chirping. This is only day 20 for him. My thermometer say 99.5 consistantly, I'll get another make of thermometer today and check to make sure it's accurate. I'll get photos this afternoon and post for you all, thanks for listening.

Yay! Another Vermonter!

I've never hatched artificially, but even hatching naturally some chicks pop out earlier than others.
Eeee - I'm jealous - I decided to not have any chicks this year and I'm in withdrawl already!
