Noticed yesterday , one of our RIR hens would not walk or move when I approached her .... she did eat and drink when I put feed and water close to her ... She just would not move , like she was hurt .... She was dead this morning .

Noticed another one acting the same way and she was separated from main flock also .....

No runny nose , eyes are clear , just not walking ... Like she was hurt ....

will keep this one separate from main flock and watch her close ...

Glad we have a separate holding pen when something like this happens .... WEIRD.... We raised both of these hens from chicks and now are 11 months old was all was fine ...

If I were in your shoes, I would call the local extension office and see who could do a necropsy of the bird that died. Good luck.

I had a bird that presented this way last fall - rushed her to an avian hospital. Blood work revealed results consistent with infection and/or inflammation and meds for both cured her. I believe fully that she would have died without the meds - she crashed pretty fast and I got her in to the vet same day. Her roo buddy was fine. She recovered fully with the meds - never knew what hit her. She tested negative for parasites.

Do you remember if your hen felt like she lost weight? I ask because, twice now, we've had chicken sdisplay behavior similar to your chicken, and both had also lost a lot of weight (which is difficult to notice with all the feathers). One chicken had a crop impaction that was fixed through surgery. The other had an egg break inside of her and she developed an infection. Unfortunately, with this second chicken, we may have caught it too late. We'll see what the vet has to say. I hope your chicken will be okay!

I moved her in a separate run with fresh food and water , and added a little ACV in the water ....

Don't know

but she seems to be doing better . She is walking now . Keeping a close eye on her .

Mareks disease can cause paralysis in one leg and a quick death. I'm not saying that's what's happening but you might want to do some research on it. I have no knowledge of it and can't offer any advice but if first one and now another suddenly had a stiff leg and then sudden death, there is probably some sort of disease. You can always try and boost the B12 for the lame one and see if that helps - can't hurt.
