Found One Of My Chickens Dead

Every night right after it gets dark I close the door to the chicken coop after all the chickens go in. I counted them and realized one was missing. After looking around I found her laying on the ground with her head in the dirt under the water bowl. Anyone know what might have caused her to die so suddenly? That morning she pooped a clear fluid. Not sure if that had anything to do with it. I just want to make that what she had won't spread. Please reply if you have any suggestions on what might have caused this.

More info: She hasn't been laying eggs for about a week now. The flock is free ranged.

She may have gotten stung by a bad bug. black widow, etc. It could be heat stroke, it's been really hot here lately. May be she ate a toadstool or some other poison plant.

Thanks for the suggestions I hope it was something like that and not a disease. I am just going to keep a close eye on the rest of my flock.
