I came home today and went out to give my birds some sunflower seeds. I did a quick head count and noticed one of my Buff Orpington hens was missing. I go look in the coop and she's laying down and dead. I don't know what happened to her. She was fine yesterday and I let them out of the coop to forage for an hour before sunset. Is it possible she ate something poisonous or choked? There are no marks on her body, she looked plump and healthy, and a very healthy coat of feathers. I even rubbed on her neck to see if anything was wrong with her crop but I didn't feel anything. Is there anything I should do? I'm very confused because I've always had really healthy birds but this one was a recent addition. Any suggestions or advice would be wonderful! Thanks!
