I gave my flock a small pea size dot of Safeguard paste about 6 days ago after seeing a roundworm in a dropping. My beautiful hen that I adopted last May, not even one year old, healthy, good layer, dead on the coop floor this morning.
It may mean nothing but beside her was a little larger pile of stool with another dead roundworm in it. No proof it was hers. I cleaned the coop and will retreat in 10 days however, I’m paranoid now even though I’ve used it before successfully. The rest of the flock is fine 13 hens/ one rooster. Any clue what could’ve happened to her?
