Found out which pullet is plucking and eating feathers. What to do?!?

From my limited research on the pinless versions, they can fall off but this a good thing if they bird gets tangled up in something the peepers will fall off instead of the bird dieing.

With the leghorn in "jail" it has been pretty quiet in the coop. I haven't heard any chickens screaming because someone is yanking their feathers out. Hopefully she is the only one.

None of my local feed stores carry the peepers. Time to do some online shopping. I know some people might think it is cruel to add those peepers to a chicken, but I think the chicken would rather have the peepers than find itself on the wrong side of an axe.

Just a quick update.

I have been letting the LH out only when everyone is free ranging. I have been giving extra protien to them during this time. This has also help with my older and younger flock intergration.

During the free ranging there has been no incidents of feather pulling and the other pullets are healing.

Once they go to roost I just grab the LH and back in the dog cage she goes. Since the dog cage is in the coop there is no restablishing the pecking order when she is let out.

Peepers are on the way.

the peeper has been installed on the LH. A little tight on a LH with her huge comb.

Every chicken took their shots at it to find out what it was. It took some time for her to adapt to it but she was drinking and eating.

The day before I let her out to freerange and then I give them so extra protien so they are not tempted to pick feathers but before I could give out the protein the LH tried to pluck out another pullets feathers.

Hopefully the peepers work.

I thought my feather puckling problem was solved but it appears I have more than one plucker. My poor RIR is looking aweful. I saw the GLW and Aussie take a swipe at her so they got the peeper treatment. I guess they need more protien or entertainment or something...
