What does "hen feathered" mean? I have sebrights and I was just wondering this.

it means that the roosters look like hens. The roosters that are "hen feathered" lack the saddle feathers and hackle feathers. So the only way you could tell the difference is look for the spurs and the crow.

I had another pair of sebrights, a rooster and a hen, and he still had hackle feathers. I'm assuming he was mixed with something then?
