Just was out feeding the hens and my BO came out of our pole barn singing the "egg song" I have been getting less eggs lately but just figured the little buggers were eating them! [IMG] So, my 6 yr old and I go over to investigate. Found a nest with 10 eggs! Is there a way I can tell if they are ok to incubate or just plain rotten? We are hoping to hatch some out starting next Wednesday.

If there are only 10 they should be good to incubate, especially if more than one hen is laying in that spot. Assuming that only one hen is laying there the oldest may not be that great for hatching, good rule of thumb is that hatchability starts to drop after sitting for a week. I would stick them all in a bator and see what hatches.
