Found this chick bloody all the way down to the flesh.

I agree with everyone here. Get it clean, keep it clean and I would use blue kote or vetericyn on it. Separate her from other hens. Don't introduce back into flock until she is healed. Even then, if there are feathers missing and she is red, use Blue Kote, because it is blue. Chicken are attracted to red for some reason. She is going to be okay. Do you know who the aggressor is?
Yes, it was a rooster in an adjoining coop! Here is a pic just 4 days after the assault! Feathers already growing back? I’m so amazed at how fast she’s healing!

All that missing skin shown in the first post couldn't have grown back in 4 days.
Looked like all skin gone and muscle showing, but maybe not.

That’s EXACTLY what I was talking about...it IS muscle tissue that is in the first pic! I could see the edges of skin around where the torn skin was from. I thought I had a second chick that was attacked and just had some missing feathers. I didnt think there was anyway it could heal that FAST....! I took the chick back and searched again. No other chick had any feathers missing...i only have 6 total so it wasn’t that hard. It’s the same chick...and those are really feathers growing back on healed skin....so amazing!

My experience with a scalped chick was very similar. Her initial healing was pretty quick, like it sort of shrinks together a bit. But I still kept her on her own for 2 or 3 weeks (it was 4 years ago, so can't remember exactly). When it seemed healed, but without all the feathers, I just kept blue kote on it until there was no red showing. I reintroduced her to the flock by putting her in a separate fun and coop (fortunately I have that available) for a week or two and then integrated her with her best friend and then with the rest of the flock later. Probably overkill, but it worked.

That same bird was attacked by an eagle a couple weeks ago. She had a wound on her abdomen about the size of the quarter. I gave her an Epsom salt bath, and put Vetericyn on it and by the NEXT day it was the size of a dime. Unfortunately I did lose her after a week. I think the talons went too deep and destroyed something inside her. She never ate or pooped again. I gave her water fortified with vitamins and electrolytes via eye dropper. I think that's all that kept her alive as long as she lived.

Maybe some birds heal faster than others? I dunno...

The edges of the skin must have gotten brought back together somehow.
Weird!

Oh NO....poor little girl! I’m sorry that happened to her and that you lost her after all you did to help her.
