I've been trying for a week but it kept tripping the trap. But I knew it was just a matter of time before it got caught. There is a second one around because I've been seeing two sets of prints.

I'm just glad I caught it before it got a hold of any of my chickens. Now to just catch the second one that's been running around with it.

Best of luck to you on catching the second one. Hip Hip Hoorey for your diligence on your first capture!

Good luck on your next one. They are really smart and if the second one saw the first trapped, it might be smart enough to never make the same mistake. I had a family of three and caught one but never the others. The others did never show back up though.

Make sure to move the trap to a slightly different location.

Those freaking masked bandits  You may want to keep your trap set, there's always more around.
    Good luck [IMG]

I keep two traps set year round. I have to keep cement blocks around it because they will roll the trap to get the food out. It was not a happy camper when I seen it this morning. We use to have a german shepard who use to keep them at bay but she when to live with the neighbors on the back side of our property so they show up now from time to time. One year we caught 12 and 4 possums and a feral cat. Others years it might be a couple and then nothing.

Any type of Jam is very effective to catch Raccoons. They simply love it!
