Found this in the egg box

We have had our chickens for a little over a year now and they were already laying when we got them. I found this in the egg box the
other day, any idea what it is? I placed the bottle cap to reference the size.

What does it feel like? Is it hard, soft, or pliable?

Cut it in half and take another pic.
Could be a 'lash egg'......usually a sign of reproductive system infection.

My husband said it was hard and had no smell to it.

You can see just little bit in the pic where he did but it open a bit, it has since been thrown away. Thank you for your comment.
