Four Drakes and Two Hens - Guidance Needed

And if you can’t bring yourself to get “rid” of them make a drake pen. @thumper650 is a good one to talk to about keeping multiple drakes. Drakes can be a challenge ones they get sexually mature. Once they do become mature you may change your mind about rehoming them but in the meantime just enjoy them.

I don’t like the word get rid of it’s just sounds cold.
I don't like it either. :hit
I'm hoping I can come up with a reasonable solution. One of the drakes is blind and one has the twisted neck genetic disorder that you helped me with. So out of the 4, 2 have handicaps. I'm very attached. I will keep you posted on our success. Thanks so much. :hugs
I was just wondering... Do duck owners ever have drakes neutered?

I think your doing great. These are situations we’ve all had to deal with at times. We’ll support you in what ever decision you make down the road sounds to me like your 2 handicapped boys would be fine living in an all drake pen. The extra that doesn’t have disability might get to be a handful with them you just never know just think about it over winter. And what is the best solution for you all.

Lol...
I say make a drake pen, and take it all one day at a time.

I have had this happen...5 drakes 4 girls everyone got along every day until breeding season so I would separate them when everyone was getting too rough it was no problem after the time passed as long as your able to keep an eye on them enough to recognize behavior changes and be ready to separate the grumpy ducks you should be able to keep them all
