They never pipped, They were viable when I candled them on 14, but couldn't see much on 25 prior to lock-down.![]()
He hasn't completely closed up but things are progressing. The cord came off overnight. After giving him some time this morning he seems better, so I will hold off on giving him anything until 24 hours has passed tonight and then re-assess.

I can already see a different, the earlier pic, his head was curb inward, Now he's got his head lined up with his body. He has to close up his belly button, once that happens he'll perk right up..

LOL I looked for 20 minutes before I realized what you were seeing. That is pencil (from Metzer) labeling the egg. With the shadow and angle it does look like a pip, but unfortunately it is not.
The baby Welsh is now in the Brooder with his siblings and is happy as a clam. The Jumbo's are really.............big compared to the othersand BOY do they have a personality![]()

AWWWW see he just needed a little more time, Ducks are sooo strong and powerful little guys... Since you hatched him, I would wait one week before giving them swimming lessons...
