Hello! I am new to this and have ended up with four roosters and 2 hens. I am worried for my hens and the outcome of putting 3 roos in another coop. What do I do? they are 8 weeks old right now and not terribly aggressive yet. Will the roos be okay since they were raised together? When do I separate and how do I determine the alpha roo as that was who I wanted to leave with the ladies.
I believe them to be leghorn chickens.

I would give away or sell 3 of the 4 roos. They can very well get along together but so many roos will overmate your hens! Be prepared for bald back hens or maybe get a couple of saddles. A good hen to rooster ratio is around 8 to 1.

Thank you. I am sure of what I have to do now. At what point should I re-home my extra roos?

Baby "anythings" are easy to find homes. Better while they are young instead of full grown. Put an AD on craig's list and you will find someone to take them. As full grown you can also take them to your local livestock auction house. Another option would be to keep them and get a few dozen more hens!
