I'd get her more than one friend due to her age.Otherwise when she passes the new duck will be alone.You could get her a couple chicken friends instead of ducks if she had a chicken friend all those years

Check Craigslist I was able to bring home an older female duck 6 yrs who has bonded really well with my 9 yr old buffs.
