FOURTH ANNUAL BIGZIOS WI CHEESEHEAD CHICKENSTOCK THREAD!

Yes Terri ... I'll be there. It will be me and the 4 oldest I believe. I will be coming up Friday night and leaving Sat late afternoon. My oldest is getting confirmed that first Sunday in June. Eventually I'll be able to stay the whole time..

Quote: I think some are going in the incubator for the Easter hatch, and some are being sent in two weeks. Who ever pays first gets first choice. I have them coming from three sources. I want good stock and it will take some selective breeding to get these birds doing well and hopefully accepted into the APA. I hope many people start to breed them so there are good selective birds out there. I tried hard to find the best of the best. I have no idea exactly how old they will be but I sure will in a very short time. They are not all spoken for. I ordered extra.

Well I am going to try and come this year... I might possibly have Guinea Keets, some BCM eggs or Penedesenca eggs, (Or chicks) God help me, as I said I was going to cut down this year, and I am already dreaming of eggs/incubators, brooody hens and chicks (and SPRING)...

I can bring an auction item, don't know what yet.

I have a yard full of hostas, so I can dig up a bunch of them for the plant exchange...

I have elk, bear, venison, salmon... which do you want? (all harvested by my hubby and I). (A big salmon fillet on the grill would taste good...

I plan on driving home as I only live like 15 miles from there... unless the wine flows to freely, in that case I'll make hubby (DD) drive

I look forward to meeting everyone..... (I already met Jim S) several years ago, he sold me my first incubator and Annie gave me about 4 dozen guinea eggs to get started...

Oh man, I can't wait to meet you! Mmmm, salmon... I have some cedar grilling planks I could bring for that!

Sounds great amberflea....and Amy, I know you can pitch a tent better than most women....I'd love to watch you grill salmon on a plank. You need to remind your hubby how lucky he is...

Hoping for gentle weather that weekend.

Well, Bigz, I've never actually made cedar plank salmon, but how hard can it be? Is there still going to be a little marksmanship practice at the Bash? I just had to take down another possum in the coop tonight - that's the 3rd in a week and a half!

Amy,

When we had that problem I used tennis balls soaked in Ammonia. Coons do not like it either. I have three packs of balls, one is always soaking. Two packs are placed around the property. I have one ball in each of the attics of the coops. (helps keep the mice out)
