Little back story..recieved 2 turkey poults and a chick (all hatched the same time) a few days from a friend to watch while they were out of town. They were moved outside to a enclosed pen with a an enclosed hutch. All did well for 2 weeks, but did notice the last part of the second week that they had spots on the poults (not the chick) that we though looked like bug bites, but seemed fine. Bought 2 turkey poults about the same age and my bf brought home 2 few day old chicks and put all in the same pen. That day we noticed that 2 poults we already had, had swollen, watery eyes with the spots all around and notice one of the poults was very larthargic (sp) and noticed both poults were sneezing. The next morning I went out and touched the poult that was slow moving the day before as it was sitting in the hutch and it looked like it went into a ceisure (sp) I picked it up and it died with in mins.

We bagan antibiotics that day on all the chicks and poults in the pen. That was 2 weeks ago and it never seemed to spread to the chicks or other poults. All were eating well and doing good except the poult that was sneezing still looked awful with wart like growths on beak and eyes, but sneezing had gotten better. Stopped antibiotics after 14 days and now 3 days later, one of the new poults has the wart like spots on it eyes and legs and is sneezing as well, along with one of the chicks! The original chick with the poults still doesn't seem to be effected. It almost looks like fowl pox, but we don't understand the sneezing, but know that is respitory, or that the others in the same pen arent effected. HELP! We don't know what to do at this point, but do not want this to spread to our flock in seperate coops!

Here are pics of the poult and chicks head showing the "growths" and how awful they look, but they act perfectly fine and are eating, drinking and acting well...just look awful and sneeze. Please let me know what you think it could be or if any one has gone through this and what did you have to do. Thanks

Thank you but it doesnt have any other symptoms but the balck wart like spots, swollen watery eyes and sneezing. They all eat very well and are very active, just look awful. We thought it might have been mycoplasma, but we don't find anything associated with the black spots and that. The spots are on their legs as well.
