Hello chicken parents. We have a nasty case of dry form fowl pox in 3/4 of our chickens. I’ve researched and found that in most cases it’s not fatal and that there is no real treatment. My question is how can I make my hens more comfortable while they battle this ugly virus? 2/4 have sealed shut eyes. They can’t see their food or water. I’ve added a large tote lid filled with water on the floor of their run with the hopes that it will be easier to find and drink. And I’ve put their food directly on the ground instead of the feeder. Is there any way to help alleviate the eye lesions? I’ve found no concrete solution except time. Thanks in advance. I feel so helpless.
