I would strongly advise against using hydrogen peroxide near the eye region, as you could easily burn and thus damage the eye permanently.
Yes, even a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide in the eye can result in bubbles throughout the cornea, ulcers, and permanent blindness. I've seen images of corneal damage caused by residue on opthalmic instruments accidentally cleaned with hydrogen peroxide- truly awful!
