Fowl Pox side effects?

There are only 3 kinds of Tylan--Tylan 50 and Tylan 200 which are injectable, but also used orally, and powder which is only used orally, mixed in water. The dose is usually about 1/2 to1 ml or more, depending on the size of chicken. Tylan 50 contains 50mg per 1 ml. 10 mg per pound is a good way to remember the dose. A 5 lb chicken would get 1 ml. A 7 lb chicken would get 1.4 ml.

I find the mixing of the powder kind rather confusing. I haven't used it, but the directions I have read for that is 2 Gm (not mg) in a gallon of water for 3-5 days.

Ruthie , Tasha, and especially izy, would like to thank everyone on BYC for giving me advice on how to help them survive fowl pox:)
Everyone is now happy, healthy and clucking.

You're welcome :)
It was weird though, izy was the only one that got it bad. Tasha(black one) only had 2 or three spots that didn't get very big then fell off and healed up in a few days. Ruthie had the eye problem but never had any other symptoms. Never found an explanation for that.
