oh and do you think its the giant domanant rooster thats doing it to the littles (has no pecking spots) or do you think the little ones are fighting each other?
the big roo is 5 and a half months and so is medium roo small roo is 5 months and yes there all together
i live in the city so seperating them may be tricky and the only rooster thats realy agressive is the big roo and he only atacks me
BIG question just got answered...they are all reaching their sexual maturing and testing the waterd to see who is top dog...thats why there is fighting.......
Mr. BIGSTUFF......when he comes after you, you go after him.....you can take your open palms and smack his chest a good one....you play roo back to him. Does he scare you at all when he comes after you?
Time to separate/rehome...sorry thats the ugly truth to this. You can just put up some screen "walls" in their run to separate if possible...
no he doesnt scare me. i scare him he learns how to "fly" (boot to the chest not hard but enough to let him know whos boss and go runnin under the coop its more a lift than kick) (i also have another roo who is still a baby)
and yah i think big roo is goin to go see his bro at my sisters soon. but i do have and issue with that she has 21 chickens
goin down to 18. 2 hens 1 roo (wich are broilers so fat they tip over and cant get up)
so 2 roos are left with 16 hens is there enough hens to have one more roo and hold out till spring when we can get more hens for them or will they kill each other waiting? my sis also has a 3 year old and her safty is key.
